What is the best part of being you?
The best part of being me... well, all sorts of stuff came to mind until I read the fine print that said that it is not "wife, teacher, friend, daughter..." and then all my ideas went out the window.
I guess the best part of being me (and I am breaking the rules here) really is all of those things. I am a MilShelb Mom, wife, sister, daughter, teacher, Christian, friend, niece, aunt, and granddaughter. I am loud, silly, smart, strong, friendly, crafty, creative... I am many things. I wear many hats. That is what makes me "me". Those things, those roles I have in life, those things I do and love and enjoy... those very things are the things that make me who I am. They are the reason I get up. They are the reason I smile, laugh, dance... They are the reason I care about "me". That imperfect, silly, slightly irrational at times person- that person is me.
The best part of being "me" is kisses from MilShelb in the morning and dances with MilShelb when I get home. It's laughing until my face hurts with friends. It's working hard on a project with my husband and feeling that sense of accomplishment. It's seeing that "ah-ha" moment in a student's eyes. It's that sense of being- that I am exactly where I want to be. that this is the very moment I am meant to be in right now.
The best part of being "me" is just being. Just being me. Just loving my life- every single second of it. Life is just way too short and fragile to not love yourself and your life and everything about it.

So good! I agree...life is so short, and to be so young, you have really got it all together!! Hug those pups tonight for me!!! I know they are a big part of your world as mine are to me!!
